Today’s engines have so many moving parts that rebuilding an engine can become costly quickly. Here at Asian Engine Parts we are working to help improve the cost of rebuilding an engine. Currently on several Kia, Hyundai, GM and Mazda engines, you must also overhaul the oil pump/balance shaft assembly. If it’s not serviceable or if it has failed bearings, it needs to be completely replaced! A new BS assembly from the OE manufacturers can run between $300 – $750 depending on the application. BUT, we have created bearings for the balance shafts so you can easily rebuild them and save hundreds!! These bearings were specially made for the largest engine manufacturers in the country and are used daily in their production!

There are 4 different versions that fit all these applications. There are different bolt patterns and pickup locations. This then correlates to the size of the bearings required to rebuild. The early models (2010 and before) have pickups to the side and 4 or 6 bolt patterns. As shown below, there are two early model balance shaft oil pump drive assemblies. These require AEP part number BS4976. BEARING WIDTH ~.643″

Later model balance shaft oil pump drive assemblies (2011 and newer) have the following pick up locations and bolt patterns:

These later models require our AEP balance shaft bearing set 23300-2G410 BEARING WIDTH ~ .783″
